Meet Matt Ellis
Matt Ellis is the founder of The Roofing Agency, a homeowner-focused roofing advisory service serving Austin and Central Texas. Matt has more than 10 years of experience in the roofing industry and has been involved in more than 1,000 roofing projects over the course of his career.
His experience has included helping homeowners understand roofing systems, materials, proposals, warranties, pricing differences, contractor options, and the overall roofing process.
After years in the roofing industry, Matt saw the same problem repeatedly: homeowners were being asked to make one of the largest purchasing decisions for their home while trying to compare completely different proposals, products, warranties, prices, and sales presentations.
Why We Exist
Why I Built The Roofing Agency
I spent years on the contractor side of the roofing industry. I saw good contractors, good products, and good people — but I also saw how difficult the process can be for the homeowner.
Homeowners frequently receive different prices, different materials, different roofing systems, different warranties, different recommendations, and different explanations of what they actually need — all from contractors who may be equally qualified.
The Roofing Agency was built to help homeowners slow that process down, understand what they are buying, define what they actually need, compare qualified options, and make a decision they feel confident about.

The selected roofing contractor is responsible for performing the roofing work.
